Who says you can’t teach an old dog new tricks.
In our 20th year, we thought we’d have a refresh of our website, it’s still a work in progress as we sit here scratching our heads getting to know the new system…I’m sure by the end of the year we’ll be tech savvy!
Working on our technical capabilities, we’re putting our fingers to the keys and starting up a weekly blog to keep you up to date with what’s going on in the local area and here at The Pack Horse as there are many exiting things lined up for 2020. The first bit of exiting news; our beloved Porlock Fire Station has been saved from closure recently, the announcement last Friday in the Free Press and BBC news, was a great testament to the campaign by the local community. This also brings Australia to the forefront of our thoughts, and how devastating fires can be. Therefore, to help out our wider community, we’re sending a donation with the WWF Bushfire Emergency Fund.
On a happier note, as it’s our big 20th Birthday this year, we’re working on how to celebrate on June 5th, but feel the celebrations should be ongoing all year as we are extremely aware that without you all we would not have had the privilege of being here for all these years. For this reason, we’ve put together a little basket of Exmoor treats to welcome you in your accommodation for any week long bookings.
We look forward to posting more news and events soon and you can now also follow us on our new instagram page! @the_pack_horse
