Our characterful, detached two storey Stable Cottage is situated in the corner of our pretty courtyard and has it‘s own small secluded outside seating area. Sleeping 4, the cottage has 1 kingsize bedroom and an adjoining twin room. Access to the adjoining twin room is not suitable to anyone with reduced mobility.

A well equipped, country cottage kitchen/diner with views over the countryside leads into the inviting lounge with a large smart tv. The perfect family friendly base to relax or explore Exmoor, Somerset and the North Devon Coast!

BEDROOM

Stable Cottage has 1 kingsize bedroom and an adjoining twin room. Both bedrooms are in the eaves of the characterful cottage.

Bedroom 1 – King size bed, wardrobe, TV. Access door to bedroom 2.
Bedroom 2 – Twin room with 2 standard single beds. Wardrobe, dressing table.

Please note, access to bedroom 2 is not suitable for anyone with reduced mobility due to the characterful nature of the property. There is a raised 50 cm beam to step over into the room.

Pets

Well behaved pets are welcome by arrangement (chargeable at £20/pet). We recommend a maximum of two medium size dogs for Stable Cottage.

For our four legged friends there is an exercise area and miles of dog friendly walks to explore from the doorstep.

Stable Cottage has two dedicated parking spaces. For additional vehicles please contact us for availability.

					  A lovely stay in a charming cottage with everything you could need!  - We had a lovely stay at The Pack Horse accommodation. We stayed in Stable Cottage. Will & Paul were so friendly and helpful, making sure we had everything we needed.... read more We had a welcome cream tea awaiting us at the cottage which was a lovely surprise. The cottage itself was roomy but lovely and warm/cozy with all the mod cons. The bed was very comfortable. The bedroom ceiling was quite low in places but I’m very tall and managed to get about ok. We were visiting friends in the area so know Allerford / Porlock well,  but it there were plenty of leaflets and guide books in the cottage, for places of interest to visit, shop and eat. There are a number of cottages to choose from at The Pack Horse to suit potential guests needs. We highly recommend The Pack Horse accommodation and are already planning to book for our next stay!

					  The comfiest bed ever. Great service, fabulous hosts and super scrumptious scones. Topped with the perfect location and tranquility. Lots of walks and activities to do around the area, such... read more as: A walk in forest or to Bossington beach and a drive to Dunster. Additionally you can visit the castle  which is hundred of years old. And lastly the star gazing just by waking out of your front door.

					  Perfection! - We stayed here in August within the first few days of Wills and Paul taking over the business and couldn’t have been more impressed! A beautiful little cottage alongside a... read more babbling brook, which was perfect for our family of three, our little boy LOVED his room. 

But more than all that, the owners were just SO lovely, they completely made our stay. 

They couldn’t have been more welcoming, and were so helpful and friendly throughout the week. They even recommended a place to visit that we’d never heard of before (despite visiting the area off and on since childhood) that is now our new favourite beach! 

We are already looking forward to coming back again next year, thank you so much Wills and Paul!
