Forgotten something important or need a new book? Amazon deliver to thepackhorse – but can sometimes take an extra day due to our countryside location. Please let us know if you are ordering so we can watch out for your parcel. Plus Allerford has its own beautiful tiny Post Office.

We have a small One Stop supermarket for basic provisions in Porlock which is less than 5 mins drive. For a bigger shop Morrisons, Tesco and LIDL are in our local town of Minehead which is 10 mins drive.

There is a large fenced recreational ground 2 to 3 mins walk from The Pack Horse ideal for a quick run around. Alternatively walk over the packhorse bridge and up the hill towards extensive walks through the forest.
